Theresa Hussman is Director and Vice President of the Hussman Institute for Autism. She has a particularly strong focus on program development, and establishing external Institute partnerships.   She is also currently the Project Coordinator for the Hussman Foundation. In this capacity, she conducts the review and processing of grants, coordinates and attends status meetings on existing and potential grants and partnerships, and represents the foundation at charitable events.

As a parent of a child with autism, Terri was appointed in 2013 as an advisory member of the Howard County Transition Council for Youth with Disabilities. She also serves on the board of Light House, Inc., a homelessness prevention organization in Annapolis, Maryland, where she chairs its Program Committee. The committee oversees job training, counseling and support services, skills development, and other programs to support the mission of ending the cycle of homelessness and moving vulnerable individuals to self-sufficiency.

Prior to her work at the Hussman Foundation, she established a 27-year career at the Goddard Space Flight Center, where she worked as a Systems Analyst with particular focus on the development of administrative systems and processes. These included project management, process reengineering, and change-management activities at both the Center and Agency levels at NASA.
